One of the most effective and easiest ways to convert your normal home to a smart home is to implement a Raspberry Pi home automation project in your home. Explanation of block diagram of the project
Power supply section: For the Raspberry pi home automation project, a 230 volts 50 Hz input AC power supply is required. The Rectifier and voltage regulator circuit in the project converts the 230 volts 50 Hz AC signal into the DC signal. The voltage Regulator maintains the constant DC voltage.
We have used a 16 by 2 LCD display in the home automation project, it displays the status of all devices.
Raspberry Pi is a series of small single-board computers. This is the most important and main processing unit in this project.
Rpi receives wireless Input commands from Android mobile with the help of a Bluetooth receiver.
Devices are controlled through Relays and relay drivers. Relays are electromagnetic switches that are used when we want to switch the light bulb on and off.
The Raspberry Pi program for the home automation project is written in Python language. Raspberry pi responds only to valid commands. Raspberry pi triggered the relays as per the input commands. Relays act as individual switches for AC or DC loads.
