Description of the project:
The most important problems faced in industries as well as in our homes are the misuse of electricity and electricity wastage. Sometimes lamps or fans are left ON due to the carelessness of the people. This results in the wastage of electricity. Also in some industries, lots of manpower is utilized just to operate the devices at some particular interval of time. Our project Time Operated Electrical Appliance Controlling System helps to overcome all these problems.
Power Saving using Time Operated Electrical Appliance Controlling System is a reliable circuit that takes over the task of switching on/off electrical devices with respect to time. This project replaces Manual Switching. It has an Inbuilt Clock that tracks over Time. When this time equals the programmed time, then the corresponding device is switched ON. The switching time can be edited at any time with the help of a keypad provided with this project. The Clock is displayed on an LCD display. The microcontroller is used to supervise the actions of all other devices and to control the entire set of operations.

Each device will have an on-time and off-time. So the kit will daily switch on the device at the on-time and switch it off when the real-time is the same as the off time of the device. The appliance is switched on when the user time and real clock time are equal. You have to enter 2 timings. One is “on time” and the other is “off time”.

Future Development:
- We can monitor some hazardous parameters like overheating and LPG gas leakage.
- We can provide a voice announcement or voice feedback system to indicate the current state or the current operation of the circuit.

Question and answers about this project:
Question: How can we implement the feature mentioned in future scopes? I mean monitoring LPG gas leakage.
Answer: We can turn on buzzer whenever LPG Gas leakage occurs. We dont have ADC in this project so we can not display variations in the LPG gas.
what would be the possible questions asked during the viva, and I want answers to those questions as well. so please do include it in the cd that you are providing along.
